We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable educator to serve as an Inclusive Learning Support Teacher, specializing in both Special Education and English as a Second Language (ESL). This dual-role position is designed for a teacher who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and is comfortable working in a flexible, evolving educational environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and ESL teams to deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs. Assignments may shift throughout the year to respond to enrollment, caseload changes, or instructional demands, so the ability to pivot between roles and grade levels is essential.

In addition to being observed by your coach regularly, you would also meet with them one on one to help develop your teaching skills and close student gaps in understanding.

A bachelor's degree is required, salary ranges between $48,000 and $79,000 depending on education level and experience. All candidates for this position must have or be willing to pursue Special Education certification. This is an opening for our 2025-26 school year and we are looking for someone to begin with us ASAP!

• Own and develop your own content and curriculum. Do the intellectual preparation needed to create and develop rigorous assessments, unit plans, lesson plans, and instructional materials; demonstrate expertise in and a genuine passion for curriculum that is contagious to students. 
• Deliver strong. Dynamically lead students in whole-class and small-group settings, cultivate intellectual curiosity and a love of learning in students, and adjust instruction using qualitative and quantitative data to ensure student understanding and meet differentiated student needs.

Key Responsibilities for our Inclusive Learning Support Teacher

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs and English Language Learners (ELLs)
• Collaborate with general education staff across content areas
• Develop, implement and monitor IEP and ESL learning goals
• Use data to inform instructional practices and adjust strategies as needed
• Provide direct instruction in a small group setting, but also be willing to provide classroom push-in support as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and laguage proficiency planning
• Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
• Be responsive to school-wide needs, which may include temporary reassignment of student groups, grades or instructional focus areas

The Fine Print

• Required: All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and have, or be willing to work toward, certification in Special Education.
• Preferred. Prior experience teaching and working in a low-income community is preferred but not required.
• Benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate based on experience, our teacher pay scale can be found here. Additionally, Henderson Collegiate offers a full benefits package. Teachers receive a laptop computer and are provided with classroom technology and software.
• Our Inclusive Learning Support Teacher will change the lives of kids by focusing 90%+ of their working time inside of classrooms working directly with students. We believe in going the extra mile for students and as a result our school day is longer than many other schools.  The school day for staff is from 7:20 am to 4:15 pm, with one day a week staff being expected to stay until 5:00pm for professional development.
